Alacer is the sole producer in the United States of calcium

Timed Release Mineral Ascorbates under the following trade names: Super

What Most People Don't Know About Vitamin C By

Suppose you take ascorbic acid (AA) in the quantity you feel
will protect yourself against aging, cancer, heart attack, stroke,
arthritis, cataracts, -maybe 4 to 10 grams a day. (Archives, National
Academy of Sciences, August, 1989) You'll find that it brings your urine
down to the acid level of 4-4.5 pH, can irritate your kidneys and
bladder, and cause, with its diuretic action, the loss of valuable
minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese and zinc,
which are quite essential to life.

form present in many fruits & plants
"As a result of ingesting 10 grams of C (as ascorbic
acid) a day, some of these healthy individuals developed heartburn,
flatulence, nausea, and especially diarrhea, and were forced to withdraw

Super Gram II and III, and Emer'gen-C- contain ascorbates of
potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, zinc, and
chromium. These are all neutral substances and are terrific mineral
transporters, as well as being ascorbate transporters. These minerals
are vitally needed , and they transport the ascorbate through the
cellular wall and help the mitochondria within each cell, which burn 90%
of the energy of the body. Thus instead of losing minerals, you gain
many minerals you need.
Unlike more than 99.9% of all animals, humans suffer from a
genetic defect, hypoascorbemia, an inability to produce Vitamin C in our
own bodies. Only a few other animals are known to share this problem
with humans: guinea pigs, monkeys, apes, and a type of bat. This may
greatly explain why humans don't live as long as they might. A dog
matures at 2 years and lives at least 7 times his period of maturity, or
14 years. Humans mature at 20 to 25. 7 times 20 is 140, which would
appear to be our life potential, If we could produce ascorbate in our
own bodies. Next to the skin, the liver is the major organ of the body.
Animals who produce ascorbate, react the glucose circulating in their
blood with four liver enzymes, which produce ascorbic acid.
But this ascorbic acid is never circulated in the body.
It immediately reacts with minerals present in the liver to form Mineral
Ascobates of potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, zinc,
and other trace elements. These are neutral mineral ascorbate
transporters, as well as other ascorbate transporters to some 70
trillion body cells.
Learning of this method of mineral ascorbate production
performed by animals, from Dr. Irwin Stone, world authority on Vitamin
C, I recognized that, if we wish to prolong our lives, we badly need
these same ascorbates.
I, accordingly, worked on the production of Timed Release
mineral ascorbates to provide protection available all the way through
the system, even the colon.
Some 22 years ago, we developed procedures to produce all seven
of the Mineral Ascorbates and introduced SuperGram II, Super Gram III
and later, in 1978 E-Mer'gen-C. So, I have been taking 10 grams of these
Timed Release Mineral Ascorbates for about 24 years. However, when I
turned 80 I increased my ascorbate intake to 14 grams daily.
Now in my 86th year I am more active than in my
20's
