Green Tea Extract
Green tea has the ability to ward off many types of cancer. Much of
the initial evidence that green tea is anti-carcinogenic is based on
epidemiological studies which show lower rates of many types of cancer
among populations such as Japan and China that drink green tea as part
of a daily cultural habit. Recently, however, controlled studies on
green tea extract have yielded impressive results.
- Green tea reduces incidence of stomach cancer,
esophagus cancer, duodenum cancer, pancreas cancer, liver cancer,
breast cancer and colon cancer in studies with mice.
- reduces oxidation by active oxygen.
- helps to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol levels and
raises HDL (good) cholesterol levels.
- Green tea lowers blood pressure and strengthens
blood vessel walls and inhibits the increase of blood pressure.
- inhibits the increase of blood sugar.
- helps to ward off many types of bacteria including
various types of food poisoning bacteria such as staphylococcus but
has no negative effect on the bifidis bacillus which is necessary
for proper functioning of the intestinal tract and has a strong
antitoxic effect on toxins.
- helps fight the influenza virus (the flu). Green
tea polyphenols act directly on the influenza virus.
- Green tea may have beneficial effect in combating
the AIDS virus. Dr. Nakane and Dr. Ono of the Aichi Cancer Institute
have verified that fact that green tea polyphenols can inhibit the
activity of the AIDS virus in laboratory tests.
